Minh Tan Hotel does not exist anymore, they have renamed it Indochina 2 and have tripled the rates so they send you to another hotel around the corner.The one round the corner is a lot smaller with none of the facilities listed.

Well decorated room that was clean and comfortable. Good service from staff. Breakfast choice was limited - go for breakfast early if you want things to be warm. Location was very good in the Hanoi old quarter, with many restaurants just 2 mins walk away. Tour provided was reasonable with high quality... Would come back.
The hotel was everything that we needed and handily located within walking distance to the sites around the beautiful lake. The hotel itself was so nice with beautiful rooms. We had free breakfast with a wide selection on offer both Vietnamese and European. Friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. We would recommend to other travelers. That is the perfect hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam
Waited at the airport for 20 minutes and after a phone-call to manager we were ferried directly to hotel. Room was so nice with window and private toilet. Staff was helpful and ready to help all our needs. Would come back here next time.
