It's just one of the many business hotels you find in Japan, sometimes called "Ryokan" to attract foreign tourists. The area is boring business environment, but central and easy to reach from Tokyo station. The room was clean and o.k..
I really enjoy staying there as they provide the best services i ever had...
We booked a three person room on a weekend when all hotels in Tokyo for a similar price were booked. The room was great - a little more upscale than most japanese-style rooms I've stayed at. The staff was accomodating to our late night out in Tokyo.

1) It's actually a nice hotel, with a traditional on-the-floor-style bedroom. The singles are *huge* (for Tokyo). 2) This is really a Japanese hotel--not a hostel. I spoke to no fewer than five different staff members in the three days I sayed. Only one spoke English beyond being able to bill--this isn't an issue, but it's different than your traditional hostel. 3) There is no English on the front door, so be sure to bring that excellent map from their web site, because you are unlikely to recognize the stylized Kanji in front. It is in a fairly convenient location, and (like most places in Tokyo) is close to numerous food offerings. 4) If you have a lot of heavy luggage, ask for a first-floor room. There is no guest elevator! 5) I never figured out the breakfast. Is it included? Don't know, and too hard to ask. Did find that you have to book the breakfast ahead of time, even though the restaurant is attached to the hotel. . .
