Staff is kind, but can\'t answer the simplest question. Security boxes are easy to be broken, beware! Rooms are old, dark, small and dirty. Bathroom is shared with no hot water. Location not good either, actually you are far (about 25 min walk) from the subway and has somehow to rely on tuk-tuks, which makes you totally get lost. Taxis will usually overcharge you. Get a place closer to downtown and pay a little more.

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed, anywhere in the world. The staff were no friendly or outgoing and the room was scary with hairs and stains on the sheets, roaches on the walls, and dried blood spots on the towels. Needless to say, I would not recommend it.

First, suggestions---your internet profile should inform people how to take public transport from airport to Windsor Inn, because the Light Rail Transir or MRT is so near. You should tell guests that they can take taxi to LRT or MRT Station in Taft Avenue or Baclaran station, then from there they take LRT or MRT towards Blumentritt Station, which is already very near or just one jeepney ride for a few minutes from Windsor Inn....interesting place in a colorful neighborhood called Sampaloc, near major bus stations going to exotic places like Banawe Rice Terraces, Sagada, Baguio City and others. this is a unique part of downtown Manila which should not be missed, because this is the "real" Philippines. public transport like tricycles and jeepneys right outside. also walking distance to famous Filipino food restaurants and fastfoods, especially the center of "lechon" or "roasted pigs" next door neighborhood of La Loma. near entertainment areas. also not far from the world-famous Chinese Cemetery, which is a tourist destination. I expected shared dorm beds, but realized all private rooms but at low room rates. so this place is really a bargain and gives great value for money.Special Thanks to Reizelle, Delfin, Mark and other friendly English-speaking staff who are very helpful and always smiling. Merci. Gracias. Thanks you!

To be honest, I was rather disappointed. This is due largely in part to the photos that were posted on the website which really misled the viewer on the actual conditions at Windsor Inn. I would not argue about the room that we got for the price that we paid. But when your photos zoom in on certain attractive aspects of the Inn, it does go to show that someone is trying to hide the bigger picture. My biggest grouse was that the room was not as clean as I expected. There were cigarette burns all over the floor especially near the bathroom. I wasn't looking for a world class hostel, but the least that we could expect was clean room, which I believe was not up to my expectations. But to be fair, standards are something that varies from country to country and different people have different perceptions. The locality was not too bad but the owner should be forthright in saying that Windsor Inn is located just one step away from Total Gas Station. We went round and round looking for it before we finally realised that it was squeezed in between the Gas Station and a Hardware Store. Though instructions on the website said the Inn is located just next to the Hardware stall, at a glance it is hard to figure out where the Inn was actually located. There were also no money changer in the vicinity and on the night of arrival, exhausted and all, I had to take a cab all the way to Ermita to change money to pay as they do not accept US$ nor credit card. Overall I would say that this place is suitable for those who are looking for a roof over their heads and a bed under their backs at an extremely affordable price as Most rooms in Manila are pricey. I moved out after 2 nights of stay to another establishment downtown that cost twice as much but was more ideal for me. Though the amount was twice as much, I was able to enjoy facilities such as hot water, comfy bedding and many others.
