We'd recommend this place. The excellent location and really helpful staff (and brochures) will help you make the most out of your time in Kyoto.

It's great, you can experience real Japanese style both in your place and around. The location is very close to Gion and Kiyomizudera temple ( just 5 min walk ). It's good choice.

Eimi and her family are fantastic people. Constantly friendly and willing to help. The place hosts only 7 people, total. Rooms were simple but beautiful, quite large (for Japanese standards) and very clean. Location is very workable with a bus pass- a bit of a walk without one (20 min walk into central Kyoto). Internet access is a bit slow and simple but good enough. It's a 500m uphill walk from nearest bus.
