Nomads Beach House in Cairns, Australia

there is not much i can say about this hostel which is good apart from actually getting out of it! we were here for a week and within that time got robbed and had to go home and also 3 more robberies toke place this is due to windows that dont lock, room keys held in full view and no security or cameras that work1 when we got robbed the staff were not helpful and had to live with no clothes or anything apart from andy who was fantastic. all staff who work here are actually travellers. helen, from Scotland ~ 19th Nov 2009

The Cairns Beach House is not located in the downtown area, but they do provide a free shuttle bus every hour. However, where they drop you off and pick you up can differ depending on the time of day and night. The free meal is a bowl of soup or tapas so don't expect much. The staff are also not that helpful. They lost our reservation, couldn't tell us how long the washing machine would take, and we couldn't buy an Internet card because it was supposedly after hours even though someone was s Colette, from USA ~ 9th May 2009
