Ueber Hostal Arroyo
The family-run Hostel Arroyo has everything that you will need! We have private rooms with en-suite or shared bathrooms. Our hostel is clean, calm and safe (the entrance is controlled 24 hours.) The rooms on the loft (without bathroom and without elevator) have a fantastic view over the city, Sierra Nevada and the Alhambra. English and German spoken... and more. Check in is from 1 pm but you can always arrive earlier and leave your luggage and return later when the room is free.

Exactly what my friends and I were looking for- a cheap and clean place to stay for the weekend. The room was extremely basic but we were really only there to sleep at night. This is a very small family run hostal, and while the staff doesn't speak much English they do their best to be helpful. We were able to leave our luggage there after we checked out but we later found out that they just left it out in the hall. Not a problem but remember to take your valuables with you! Arroyo is like a small hotel, simple but nice. There is 24 hours reception and it is located in the center, near the Cathedral. I did not see any common-social area. Double room was nice, and bathroom big. Everything was extremly clean. Our room had TV and air conditioning, though we did not use it.
