Cerro Chato Eco Lodge in La Fortuna, Costa Rica

Awesome place to stay. Just catch a taxi for a couple of bucks up to these cabins and get away from the crowd. Still close to town, but far enough away to be a little quieter. The waterfall is a couple of miles hike away. The cabins were very nice and clean. The owner Miguel, speaks English very well and will help you out any way possible. He arranged a taxi to pick us at at 4:30am to catch a bus and helped us plan our next destination. Best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Highly recommen Sam, from USA ~ 9th Jun 2009

The owner \\\'Don Miguel\\\' is extremely xenofobic and violent. And he has a fame of crazy all around town. When we tried to register, he stopped us claming it was too late and the room was occupied. He started yelling at me and forced me to leave the property. We had to start looking a new place at night in an unknown city in a foreign country. Really, the guy should\\\'n be in tourism business.
