Hotel Bulan Baru in Lombok, Indonesia

Nice hotel, Good relation quality-price. You seem to be in the jungle. We had some animal company in the room (couple of small lizzards, ants and spiders), mostly in the bathroom, but they didn't do anything, just giving making the place a bit more authentic. This place was a bit creepy. Over a few days, my wife and I saw the owner multiple times. He never talked with us, never even said hello. He snubbed everyone. I guess he isn't a people person. Everyone else was nice, but it still felt weird. Otherwise, the place felt old and trashy. Horrible, uncomfortable bed. Ugly, tacky rooms. Flat, mediocre food. You have to take a cab into town. Yes, you do have a deserted beach nearby, but it was covered in trash two days out of four. Stay away! Matthew, from USA ~ 9th Oct 2009
