Yamen (Former County Government) Hotel is located within the famous ancient city walls therefore many interesting sites are nearby.
The hotel is in the style of the traditional quadrangle guest house with lovely little courtyard. Clean and atmospheric, internet speed one of the fastest you can find in Pingyao.First class rooms are available for a little extra.
The host is Jason Lee who is an enthusiastic and friendly assistant manager of this place, with great English and willing to help with anything.
We provide many services, and even massages.

They should a light or two along the path from the common area to the 7-bed dorms. It is dark and there are several steps that can easily be forgotten, especially after a beer or six Jay, from USA ~ 6th Nov 2009

The staff was the friendliest & most informative/helpful out of any hostel recently. I really got a sense that they cared and made the extra effort to make me feel comfortable. The courtyard atmosphere's charm really was brought out well too! Haskel, from USA ~ 22nd Oct 2009
