Loch Ossian Youth Hostel in Fort William, Schottland

Originally a timber waiting room for visitors embarking upon the spectacularly beautiful Loch Ossian crossing via a long since retired steam yacht, the original hostel building was converted into one of Scotland's most beautiful and remote hostels way back in 1931. Since then, and with the care and dedication of resident hostel wardens and the unrivalled support of the Scottish Youth Hostel network, Loch Ossian Youth Hostel has been warmly welcoming hill walkers and visitors from around the world.

Now an eco hostel boasting wind and solar power as well as state of the art grey water and dry toilet systems. Our eco hostel has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen (albeit without a fridge). Accommodation at Loch Ossian Youth Hostel is only available in shared occupancy rooms but groups and families do have the option of booking a dorm room for exclusive use.

Cancellation policy is 1 day in advance prior to 6pm.

A sleep sheet & pillow case are required - duvets and pillows supplied. Please be environmentally aware and take your litter to the nearest place with proper rubbish collection. Walkers are requested to use footpaths during the stalking season from August to October. Celtic Story-telling and Songs Weekend We have put together a charming weekend of Celtic story-telling and songs, focussing on the Ossian legend, with professional story tellers Essie Stewart and Claire Hewitt in the beautiful setting of Loch Ossian Youth Hostel, from 28 - 30 September 2012.
