Our hostel is located in the heart of the city center. It is a 2 min walk to the main street Khreshatyk, 3 min to opera house and 4 min to Independence Square.
DIRECTIONS
From the Train Station:
Take metro at Vokzalna and get off at Teatralna (2 stops). When you get on the ground look for sign UkrInform in English (It's roughly 50 meters from the metro exit). The hostel is just the next building. At Khmelnitskogo street 10 you should go inside the little arch and walk to the inner yard of the building. Then follow the Hostelling International sign with logo.
From the airport
We can arrange a taxi to come and meet you at the airport and drive you straight to the hostel. In this case the driver will meet you when you exit customs inside the airport with a sign with your name. The price of the taxi is 19 Euro/car. This is cheaper than the regular price at the airport. You may pay the taxi driver directly or pay in the hostel later, as you prefer.
The airport is 45 km away from the city, and the public transport stops at 12 pm, so especially at this time it will be a better alternative to take a taxi.
From the airport
Cross the yard in front of the airport, and take the Atass bus to Kharkivska metro station. The bus goes on to the main train station. Take the metro to Zoloti Varota metro station, but do not get out of the station. Instead, walk through the underground passageway to Teatralnaya metro station and get out into the street there. You will find yourself on Bogdana Khmelnitskogo St. Walk uphill, towards the opera, for about 100 steps and turn into the archway at number 10. The arch will open into a courtyard. Use the paved road on the right of the courtyard to cross into a second courtyard. The entrance is the second door on the right. There is a sign with a dolphin next to it. If the main entrance door is locked, press at the same time on the three buttons which correspond to the number 140. Once inside, walk a few steps to the elevator and take it to the second floor. The door of the hostel is on the left, marked with the number 50.
From the main/international bus station:
Walk to Lubydska metro stop (10 minutes). Then take metro and get off at Teatralna stop. Then follow the instructions above or look at the map!
Code on the doors inside the building is 140 pressed simultaneously.
