Hostal Zocalo really is the best hostel, we\'ve ever been to! It\'s located directly on the main plaza of Merida in an old colonial-era building(and there is no other accomodation in this location!), and if you\'re lucky you even get a balcony with plaza-view! The bathroom is shared, and well, not always sooo clean, and also not sooo beautiful, but forget about this! During my 30-day trip in Mexico, this hostel is the only one that I never had a thought of staying longer. In a very nice location though, it made me felt like doing \"business\" with them instead of living in a hostel. The staffs were the coldest ones I\'ve ever met, and the facility is poor. We asked for not-working hot water, they didn\'t give us a sign of reply when it fixed. I would say this is the worst hostel/hotel I\'ve ever stayed. fan, from China ~ 4th Jan 2012
