Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's is the newest Hostel in the Mt. Fuji area, opened July 2010. Located in Fujiyoshida City the base of Mt. Fuji. Mt. Fuji Hostel is just a 5 a minute walk from Gekkoji train station or a 15 minute walk from Mt. Fuji train station, you can also take from Mt. Fuji train station a taxi for about 760 yen to our Hostel. We have English speaking staff who can help all your travel needs during your stay with us.
Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's is a Non-Smoking Hostel but we do have a smoking area outside on the patio.
We have no common area, However we do have Michael's American Cafe & Pub a complete Cafe & Pub downstairs, this is our common area to enjoy good food & drinks plus meet many of the local people from the area. This is also run by the same owner.
Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's has 2 Mixed Dorms for 10 guests each, bunk beds, all bunk beds have private curtains & reading lights. 2 Japanese tatami private rooms 3 & 4 guests each. 2 Western private Bunk Bed and single bed rooms 1 or 2 guests. We have available 24 hours a day washer & dryer, Western showers, toilets, Free Internet & WiFi, Skype, & Office 2010 (english ver). Free Key Lockers, Free morning coffee, Tea.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation policy is 2 days. If you cancel less than that or in a case of a no show we will charge a fee equivalent to the charge of your first night.
From Gekkoji station it is a 3 to 5 minute walk stright out and down the road from the station to Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's.
From Fujiyoshida station it is a 15 minute walk or a 760 yen Taxi ride to Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's.

48 hours cancellation policy * 100% of the balance due of your first night will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation by 2 days before your scheduled arrival date or you are a No Show on your scheduled arrival date.

I wasn\'t able to book K\'s in Kawaguchiko (where I stayed before on a previous trip), so I booked here. Boy, did I luck out! This hostel is great - new, well thought out (wi-fi, lockers, latest Japanese toilets, showers, etc.), and with friendly and helpful staff! Michael and his wife, Kazuko, were super welcoming and helped me plan my Mt. Fuji climb. I concur with the other review, definitely have the spaghetti meatballs! So good! Very friendly and helpful staff!! I have stayed here twice and was very pleased both times. The rooms are clean, the facilities are nice and quite new, and the staff are very helpful with anything and everything.
