We were closed from November 2012 and are now reopened from Spring 2013.

The Private Annex Riverside room is listed as '3 Bed Private Shared Bathroom' on Hostelworld.
Rooms have Japanese futons, there are no bunk beds in private rooms, only in the one mixed room.

Set on a beautiful riverside. Great for swimming.

Free shuttle (only available after 4pm) from Fubasami station on the JR Nikko line or Myojin station on the Tobu Nikko Line.

We can not pick up at Nikko station.

The private 2, private 3 and shared 4 are in the main building.

Zen Hostel is in a remote location away from the tourist area on a river in what was a Japanese hot-spring inn. There are no souvenir shops and no city lights. Only stars, trees and mountains. You can swim in the river at Zen and short hikes are nearby. Nikko Japan is the 3rd largest city in Japan by land size so enjoy nature for a few days, there is so much to see here.

All rooms are Japanese tatami style (private rooms have locks on doors) with futons (free internet in the common room) and include a full western breakfast.

Every morning our free shuttle takes guest to UNESCO World Heritage (Toshogu Shrine, Futarasan Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, Shinkyo Bridge).

Families with children are best in the annex private rooms for the most privacy. Over 6 years old charged regular price.

Snorers have to sleep in the private annex riverside rooms.

Fubasami Station on the JR Nikko Line, we are 10 minutes via our free shuttle.

Shimogoshiro Station on the Tobu Nikko Line, we are 10 minutes via our free shuttle.

Our shuttle is free. No restrictions to how few people or how few bags.

¥4,000 per person per night in a 4 person dorm room including breakfast & roundtrip transportation to and from Fubasami on the JR Nikko Line and Shimogoshiro on the Tobu Nikko Line.
