The ToadLily is laid out like a house, with one or more beds in each room.

The main dorm has three bunks beds; there is an upstairs room for groups of three. For 10 or 20 dollars more a night there are increased levels of privacy. We have a total of 14 beds, two bathrooms, one shower and full kitchen.

There is also a back deck and a yard with an outdoor fire place.

We have farm-fresh eggs available and during the summer and we offer seasonal vegetables from our organic garden. Some nights spontaneous Bar-crawls have occurred and open mics are developing over the summer & fall months.

We are a fairly new hostel so the enthusiasm is still working in our favor for more exciting events up and coming.


We allow children 12 and up, management may allow exceptions. Animals are also allowed on a case by case basis ( i.e. if no one else staying has pet dander allergies).
Reception hours are generally from 9-5, we are also available to check anyone in at all odd hours if the check in/out is pre-arranged by phone. If a guest shows up outside those hours there is a doorbell that will ring to our house and our cell phone numbers are posted at the door.

There's even the option to book the whole house for families or overnight parties.

For convenience we have flexible check-in/check-out times.

Within easy walking distance of the Victoria, BC, ferry, we're just off Lincoln St. behind Safeway. Our central location is ideal for travellers, close to both the downtown town area and the highway without all the noise.

Beauty is all around; from the beaches to the rivers to the mountains, the Pacific NW is a nature-lovers paradise. Fresh air, bald eagles, elk and the quiet peace of a moss-enveloped forest draw travellers out of their bubble and into the great outdoors. We have a complete topographical map set and a very experienced hiker available to guide you through your discovery.

We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Payment is due upon arrival, preferably in cash, please. Check-in: 3pm to 5pm. Check-out: 11am. Reception hours are generally from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, we are also available to check anyone in at all odd hours if the check in/out is pre-arranged by phone.
