Now entering our third year, El Diablo Tranquilo provides a wide variety of accommodations, services, adventures and memories to travelers of all styles.
Upon entering the hostel you find yourself at home in our spacious lobby, surrounded by 16 foot high windows looking seaward, a massive hearth and fireplace in front of cozy sofas and the always-friendly faces found at our reception desk. Above, you'll find a lofted Internet lounge and beyond that the intricacies of our traditionally woven thatch roof. Guests also enjoy the several terraces, hammocks, a kitchen, book nook and picnic balcony.
The hostel also offers several room options including mixed or female dorms, private rooms with 1, 2 or 3 beds, and luxurious suites complete with fireplace, full bath, ocean views and breakfast in bed. Hotel guest or not, the whole city comes together in the bar and restaurant, located on the beach just a block from the hostel. Live music, friendly faces, cold beers, even darts and ping pong accompany fresh seafood, local favorites and foreign specials from our kitchen. Everyone at El Diablo Tranquilo understands that your experience is defined by memories, and it is our goal to ensure you have the time of your life here.
Please contact us with your arrival time as some buses do not enter town and stop only at the entrance, 6km out. Once you are here be sure to check out the horse tours, surf classes, yoga classes, beach volleyball and weekly live music down at the bar and restaurant.
