The SJI Hostel is located in Santurce, the hip arts district of downtown San Juan. In this neighborhood decorated by many beautiful murals, you will be among the real people of San Juan. As you approach our locale, you will notice the less touristy atmosphere in the form of lower prices and more authentic interactions with those around you. We are a short walk away from Puerto Rico's spectacular Art Museum, and a thirty minutes, (fifty cents) bus ride from the cobblestone streets of the colorful colonial city of Old San Juan.
Is our area dangerous? Of course not, we love it and would not be here if it was. We see ourselves as more than a hostel; we see us as your home away from home, while in Puerto Rico.

ACCOMMODATION:
We have a total 17 beds in 3 dormitories and Two Private Rooms meaning the hostel is the perfect size to make friends and enjoy a great group atmosphere.

Here is a little description of the layout of our accommodations,

2 dorms MIXED with 2 bunk beds (4 Twin beds on each). Air Conditioning provided from 8:30pm to 8:30am. Individual high-speed fans provided all day and mosquito proof doors and windows.
1 dorm MIXED with 3 bunk beds (6 Twin beds). NO Air Conditioning . Individual high-speed fans provided + mosquito proof doors and windows.
On the Private side a BUNK PRIVATE with A/C. includeS a wash basin, lockers, air fans, table, chair and mosquito proof doors and windows. Air Conditioning provided from 8:30pm to 8:30am. (Shared bathroom). Please Note This room does not have a double bed. See the room photo before booking.
Another one on the Private side DOUBLE PRIVATE no AC. A cozy one with 1 full-size bed, great for couples. No AC, but great cross-breeze + lockers + ceiling fan and access to courtyard patio. (Shared bathroom). No internet access to this room at this moment but at all our communal areas.

No one under 18 is admitted without a parent or legal guardian. All of which requires an advanced notice.

NO PASSPORT IS NEEDED FOR US CITIZENS; however, an ID is required.



Maximum stay is 7 nights. Extended stays may be granted if approved by management. Regular Business Hours are from 02pm to 10pm. Normal Check in period is from 3:00p to 10p. After hours check-in available upon coordination. Please contact us for info if arriving out of our regular business hours period.
