Rucksack was formed by a group of backpackers who wanted to provide quality accommodation at affordable prices for like-minded travellers.
Employing a modern design concept, we created comfortable, well-designed rooms that feel more like a boutique hotel than the average backpacker hostel.
We're located in the heart of the city, within walking distance to Clarke Quay and Boat Quay - the most talked-about night spots in Singapore. You can find a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars and other amenities within five minutes of our hostel.
We offer a wide range of facilities and services including free wireless internet access, free continental breakfast, a common room and a library.
We believe in giving you the assurance of a secured and safe place, and also the luxury of a no lock out system. So our guests will be given a key card access which means you can let yourself in at any time during your stay here.
We are newly renovated and touted as the 5 star luxury backpacker's hostel. We have round-the-clock service so you can be assured of 24hr reception, free internet wifi, security key card access, Wii and PlayStation 2. Most importantly, we believe in tip top cleaniness so rest assured you will have clean and dry bathrooms at all times.
Please note that in order to upkeep the environment of a backpackers hostel, we do have a policy of no children under the age of 12.
Check-in: 1400. Check-out: 1200. Reception is open 24hrs so if you're checking in early you can leave your bags with us while you head out to explore the city. Likewise, if you have a late flight or bus to catch after check-out, you can leave you bags with us at no additional cost. We will keep the room/bed for you for three hours from the stated time of arrival, after which it will be released for booking. If there is a delay in your itinerary, we would appreciate if you could let us know through phone or email. A $20 refundable deposit will be required for your key card upon check-in. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted at our hostel. Rates include taxes. We do not accept local residents, Singapore Permanent Residents or Work Permit Holders. We have a 48hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations, no-shows and changes to your booking shall incur a charge equivalent to the first two night's accomodation.
