1983 Hostel in Taipei, Taiwan

1983 Hostel is located near Shi-Da night market, one of the best-known night market in Taipei. Shi-Da stands for the abbreviation of 'National Taiwan Normal University' in Chinese, which is famous for its Mandarin language programme for foreign students. Those that this area has to offer - authentic and scrummy Taiwanese food, night market snacks, cool bars and plenty of atmospheric cafes - make it convenient for travellers and backpackers staying here.

It's just 5 minutes' walk from MRT Taipower Building station and 1 minute's walk to Shi-Da night market. Therefore, it's convenient to explore the attractions in Taipei by MRT in the daytime, and you can find all you need around this area when coming back to the hostel at night.

We provide a cosy and homey atmosphere in our place and our staff are so willing to help you with any questions and make it their business to ensure you have a pleasant and unforgettable stay.

We have two lounge area, one of which has a 60-inch LED TV, a comfortable sofa and a long wooden tale for you to cill out, meet other travellers or make plans of your journey. Also, you can enjoy your time reading and relaxing with a good book in the other lounge area where we provide lots of good books and a cafe-like environment for those looking for a tranquil corner.

Each bed in our room is equipped with comfortable linens, a reading light and an extra pillow as a backrest for those who enjoy reading or using the laptop on the bed.

There are five rooms (26 beds), two wonderful recreation area, kitchen, toilets, and shower rooms in 1983 Hostel. For each bed we offer basic sheet stuff, besides, we also offer a READING LIGHT, and an EXTRA pillow for each bed!

The recreation area in 1st floor is really cosy and beautiful which has a 60-inch TV and free wifi. You can easily get a seat and read a book or make your tour plan, or just do nothing and feel free to stay here and meet some cool guys.

Beside the Recreation ares is a mini kitchen, which has a gas cooktop, bakery and microwave. Of course we also have toilet and shower rooms with 24 hours hot water.

There is another smaller recreation are in basement, you can easily find a quiet place to read your book here.
