Capital View is located on 301 Eye st NW in Washington DC, only 5 minutes walking distance from Chinatown Metro station and Union Station (RED line) and all the buses coming into DC that stop there.
Easy to reach attractions by foot, around us are: The White House, Convention Center, China Town, U.S.Capitol, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution with 19 museums (like Museum of Natural History, and Air & Space Museum- one of the most visited museums in the World) and 9 research centers, and Supreme Court.

Mature, quiet guests are preferred.
We do everything we can do to preserve a tranquil atmosphere in our hostel. All of our guests must be over 18 years old.
Unfortunately, we do not usually accommodate seniors sixty five and over - however, it is case by case situation.
We house brand new metal bunk beds, with a maximum weight limit of 280lbs. If you are over the limit you may be turned down for safety reasons.
Smoking is NOT allowed.
Evidence of smoking in the room or common areas will result in an additional charge of $1000 will be billed to cover the additional cleaning for smoking in the room and loss of revenue. Any kind of open flames, including lit cigarettes or burning candles, are not allowed.
No (extreme) physical intimate behavior allowed;
No drinking allowed.
No pets are allowed.
Cancellation and Payment Policy -
First night charge for NO SHOW
Capital View maintains a strict cancellation policy.
You must notify us at least 3 days prior to departure time (once you have checked in). Any days within 3 days will be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee. Any cancellation of the day of Check-in will be charged the full nights stay. Please be courteous and inform us immediately of a cancellation or change in plans. Reservations that have not checked in, may make changes 24 ahead of check-in time with no fees.
Group reservations cancellation (5 or more guests) - 2 weeks prior arrival; 10 or more guests- 1 month; cancellation less then 2 weeks or 1 month, will result 100% group charge. All group reservations will be charged 15% non-refundable deposit.
Upon arrival, full payment will be accepted in cash (US) travelers checks or credit cards VISA/MASTERCARD/DISCOVER. We do not accept personal checks.

We have a three-day cancellation policy. Cancellations received within 3 days of arrival will be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of check-in will be charged for a full night's stay. Group reservations have a minimum of 2 weeks cancellation notice, plus a non-refundable 15% deposit. Valid credit card and passport or photo ID required at check-in.

On foot from Chinatown bus station and metro centre:
About eight minute's walk.
Walk one block to letter 'i' street. Then take right on i street going east and walk for three blocks. You will see our red brick historical mansion-building on the left!
Important! Don't be confused - 'i' street continues after joining Massachusetts Ave and 5th street! Just slightly moves to the left - just walk pass bicycle place.
From Dulles International Airport
At Curb 2E, take the 5A bus towards L'Enfant Plaza Metro. At L'Enfant Plaza, take the green/yellow line metro to Chinatown metro station in the direction of Greenbelt/Fort Totten. As you exit the metro, follow the walking directions as above.
From Reagan National Airport:
About 25 minutes by metro.
Take the yellow line metro Metro towards Fort Totten to Chinatown metro station. As you exit the metro, follow the walking directions as above.
From Amtrak/Union Square/BoltBus/Megabus
Aabout 5-10 minutes' walk.
Walk on Massachusetts Ave towards downtown (west) and take a right on 3rd Street NW. You'll see us at the intersection of 'i' street and 3rd street NW. If you miss 3rd street, take a right on 4rd street.
From the Greyhound Station:
About 15-20 minutes walk.
Walk south towards Union Station on 1st NE for two or three blocks to the Union Station metro entrance. Then follow walking directions from Union Square as above.
From Baltimore/Washington International Airport:
About 1 hour's journey.
Take the B30 bus towards Greenbelt station, and then take the Green line metro to Chinatown station in the direction of Brand Avenue. As you exit, follow the walking directions as above.
