Arrived late and left early so couldn't judge greatly but it seemed like a nice place to hang out for a while and arriving at midnight was not a problem.

I had a great time. It is a little ways from downtown but can be a nice walk. I met some very interesting people, friendly and laid back.

Had a wonderful time in anchorage and am so pleased that I chose to stay at the 26 street hostel. The couple that runs it is extremely kind and welcoming and really made our trip worthwhile. Also it is close to a grocery store, movie theater, Chilkoot CHarlie's (the BEST bar in the world...an experience you have to have...and I dont even drink!), and the very easy to use bus stop which takes you directly downtown. Will def stay here again!

This is a well run hostel. Everything was clean and in very good condition and the breakfast was great. A great place for travelers.
