We were not so happy with our stay. We came in our room and the thing was the scary puppet and one the walls were picturs of dead people. It was a miserable time. The bathrooms weren´t clean... I would never stay there again!!!

I was honestly disappointed. I am a really open minded person and like making the best of the situation but I was a bit uncomfortable staying here. All the rooms needed were a little colorful paint and sheets (and blankets) that seemed cleaned to at least to mask the fact that you can't tell whether the neighborhood is safe or not. It wasn't that bad since I ended up totally safe but I was a bit uncomfortable the whole time

This hostel is very quiet and that can be a welcome relief in Boston. Old building but clean, good beds and baths, trains nearby.

Somebody likened it to a bed and breakfast. I kindda agree. Place is cozy; beds are full and queen sized, not the smaller twin sized. Staff is very professional. Building is old but adequately maintained for a nice stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Farrington Inn, although it was a short one. I felt comforted by the constant bustle of kids walking around and interacting, and found my room to be well suited for what I needed and expected. The attendant who greeted me was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hostel to someone looking for a place to stay in Boston. Thanks again!

After all of the negative reviews, I was surprised to find that the Farrington was just fine. It's in an old house near a nice little neighborhood with a large variety of restaurants, bars and coffee houses. Some of these are student/hipster places, there are quite a few Asian restaurants, and a fair number of Brazilian establishments. My room and the bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable enough for a hotel bed. The hostel as a whole was quiet enough. I didn't have much interaction wi

It is not at all bad as the some of the other reviews said. I was quite worried to book my accommodation there and I did so because I had no alternative. But it was quite good for the money I spent.

Strange hostel, it could be so much more with just some paint and cleaning. Owner who checked us in seemed stuck in the past..weird guy. Room was very hot, no possibility to open windows..odd place.
