We stayed in a 4-bed room on the first floor for 3 nights. The location is great- really close to Republique Metro, and right by a supermarket and within walking distance of some great restaurants and bars. The room was cramped- the single beds are smaller than regular sized ones, and still we were about a foot away from each other. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and one day when we got back, there was a man in the bathroom grouting! After breakfast one morning we returned to see a mouse in the room. The bathroom had huge windows which didn't open properly, so there wasn't much ventilation (when we showered, everything was soaking from the steam). Breakfast is served from 7.30-9.30am and consists of a bread roll and croissant then a chice between hot chocolate and coffee. Upon arrival I asked if there was luggage storage for when we were checking out, and I was told they had a room...Come the last day, that room was the reception. Anyone can come in and out of there- we never had to show ID to come in, and anyone could have taken our bags- not safe at all. We put our stuff in left luggage for 4euros at Gare de Nord train station for the day. Generally, not recommended, and there was a Hostelling International place just up the road that looked lovely, so if this is the perfect location, maybe go there!

I think it was a hotel sometime, It's a good place to stay. It's clean, is't near a metro station, but it's not so easy to find the place, use a map to get there or ask for moere specifications

The beds and doors in the bedrooms are too noisy!

Very-very shabby, everything is quite old and hasn't been renovated for some while. Check in time - noon, and there is no chance to get a room earlier even if they have them available. NO LOCKERS anywhere neither in the rooms nor in the hall. Location is excellent, 30 minutes walk from de Louvre or Notre Dame - if you like walking, or 5 minutes from metro staton Republic. Cleanliness would be more obvious if the place was not so old and rusty. Curtains were digustingly dusty and were hanging on 3 hooks threatenning to fall down if you decide to move them. Towels were changed every day, but if you'd like a second bed sheet you have to ask for it specifically. No vent in the room which makes it very hot inside and with 4 ppl it becomes hard to breathe after somewhile - we had to keep the window open at all times, which was not really convinient at night taking into accunt that all rooms face quite a busy street. However in terms of value for money - it is still worth it.

Hi, Location to metro made life easy and we liked surrounding area. We stayed in room 59 - wallpaper around window needs to be improved and lock on window should be fixed. Can I suggest better towels and nicer pillows. We enjoyed stay in Paris and hostel was well run.Minoe improvements to room would improve rating greatly. Regards Owen Mescall

We stayed four nights, during which our sheets were never changed or our beds made up. They only came in to the room to empty the waste bins and fold up our still wet towels!

I came home covered in bites that I was later informed were from bed bugs. They ended up becoming infected and I have to make four trips a day to my local ER to get my antibiotics through an IV. This has disrupted my schooling and my work life immensely, and I would not recommend staying at this hostel to anyone.
