the staff was very helpful, and the kitchen was well equipped. cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, was an issue.

This hostel was everything we were looking for. Just on the border of the old and new town, you could walk to the new town for cheap beer and food, or to the old (expensive!) town for the sights, within minutes. When we rung the hostel lost on our arrival at 10pm, a friendly man came and met us at the metro station and brought us back. He gave us maps, showed us where all the vital tourist spots were, and told us where we could get cheap, decent food (his advice was worth following!). There
