i stayed in a 4 mixed dorm, very good hostel, nice breakfast
Compared to most hostels it seemed very clean -- but I got a strange rash from the blanket in the second room I was switched to.

I did not like the fact that bums sleep right outside the door and that you have to walk down a filthy alley-way to get in. Also, I found hair (not mine) in my sheets. Also, there were paper-thin walls and a lot of noise, so very little sleep during the time we were there.

Great hostel! got lots of unexpected perks (ie, own bathroom and tv in private double room). amazing breakfast and fun atmosphere.

Adelaide Hostel is the perfect choice if you are looking for a central affordable hostel in San Francisco. The hotel is super close to great shopping, beautiful landmarks, and ground transportation. Only negative items: private room bathroom sink was super small and smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and free breakfast and wi-fi was a great plus. Highly recommended!!!
