Quiet rooms, but you can go in the communal area if you feel like being social. Wonderful staff. My only complaint is the springy mattress. It was hard to get comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Was 'upgraded' to a hotel around the corner as they had overbooked which was fine. Priced as per room booked at Adelaide. Basic small room but no complaints.

two words: bed bugs.
with all the stuff that we had to throw out and the effort to clean up the damages, it would have been better to pay more for a place to stay.
the staff was very nice and refunded us our money for the last two days we didn't end up staying. but they were almost too nice. as though this were too common of an occurence, or that they already knew about the problem in our room.
at least for the next little while: STAY AWAY FROM THE 7TH FLOOR OF THE PRIVATE ROOMS (DAKOTA)

Adelaide was an awesome hostel to stay in. The common room was really nicely decorated, and always full of people to meet. I met a ton of awesome people from all over, it was great. Also, the ability to use the free internet was awesome.
My only real complaint would be the staff, actually. They're very nice but I sometimes had no idea who worked there and who was just hanging out, or a guest there. A few friends that I met while at Adelaide had to move rooms multiple times due to overbooking... maybe because there are too many people on staff at a time? I don't know.
All in all though, I loved Adelaide. The location was perfect- only about a 6 minute walk to China Town, 15 to North Beach, 5 to Market Street.

Room 801 in the Dakota hotel does not have any cold water faucet working on the bathroom sink. There is not even a water line for that faucet. That is a big drawback, but the only one. Could you please do everything you can to fix this? It is inconvenient to say the least.

I enjoyed my stay at Adelaide. The hostel is located in the heart of San Francisco. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's a great place to stay if you want to tour San Francisco. There are lots of information pamphlets available and even a free continental breakfast each morning. Great value, I couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel is quite near downtown SF and quite easy to reach from the airport. Unfortunatly the rooms are quite dirty, noisy and unconfortable!!
