The people working at the front desk on the days of 20-07-06 through 22-07-06 were the best front desk help i have had throughout mzy travels of europe. I would reccommend Alibi Hostel to anyone who asked me where is the best place to stay in Vienna. Thanks guys for everything!

Pretty good hostel...directions from the westbahnhof aren't great, they should be: When you get off at the sixth stop from the UBahn, you take the exit to the left and then take a right on th enext street and then follow the rest of the directions. The staff at night sucks (or at least one guy did), his english was terrible and he took forever. The actual rooms are pretty nice, but the whole key situation is stupid. There is only one key per room and you are supposed to leave it at the front desk if you leave, but nobody does so you have to get a staff member to open your room and they act like its such a fucking inconvienence. There is also no breakfast and the internet access is just two computers which are always taken. For the good: Really good location in the university district close to all sorts of trams. Stephan, the guy who works during the day is really cool and can point out some really good, non-touristy stuff to see and he gives really good directions. Not too expensive and they give out free beer tickets for the irish pup down the street.

This hostel was very nice and clean. The rooms were a good size and the dorms are small. However it would be good to have some utensils in the kitchen as there are few pans and no plates or mugs etc so its hard to cook anything- this is not explained on the website. Good location near to supermarket etc.

The staff at Alibi Hostel were very helpful but the hostel was farther from the train station than I thought. It was great to have free internet access. The only problem was that the phones for the wake-up calls didn't work.

Godd location, although it is about a 20 min walk before you get to the hostel from the U2. Rooms are clean and spacious, free internet, huge kitchen to keep food, pretty close to most major attractions.
