I enjoyed my stay at Aloha. My only complaint is the condition of the showers, while they worked and they were hot, it was a bit cramped and it seemed like little more than a hose coming through the wall... The location is great, near the Volontaires metro station, but do look at a map before you wander trying to find the hostel. There is a grocery store nearby which is great.. the breakfast is good and you can have seconds and thirds... which is great for saving cash. Overall this is a good place. I will stay here again.

the rooms are small and without any cupboard. it is ok if you travel around the whole day, which is do be done in a wonderful city like paris. the kitchen is a bit dirty because people dont clean their dishes. take your own stuff with you and everything is fine. --> if you come to see paris and travel around like a backpacker it is really ok i would come again more advantages: internet acess; foodshops aren´t far away, metro station is around the corner

A nice place to sleep. Friendly staff. The only thing I found to be annoying were the showers --- you have to continually push the button to keep the water flowing and the water was only lukewarm at best. But still, a good value and near the metro.

Very Skunk, we are not treated like customers! Such a shame!

The curfew makes it near impossible to enjoy Paris nightlife. The fact that there is only one key per room also makes it really hard to get into hour room late at night (Or in the morning if you miss the curfew like I did).

There are a few things you should know: - Each room has only one key, which stays at the desk when no one is in the room, which makes it pretty ineffective that the rooms lock at all - There's a code you need to punch in to get in the door which they say they change daily, but they don't seem to ever change, and if you've lost it you can simply get buzzed in with no questions asked and ask for the key to any room number and they'll again give it to you with no questions asked - While there are two bathrooms per floor (3 floors), there are 2 or 3 which are *only* a toilet, no sink, 2 or 3 which are a toilet and sink, and only one which is a shower (no sink or toilet). There are no mirrors in the bathrooms, but there's a sink and mirror in each room - The staircase is extremely narrow, spirals, is sort of crooked, and has a very rickety hand rail - Bring your own sleeping bag or sheets and blanket. They run out of sheets to rent when they are full, mine were damp and full of holes, and the blankets are scary (old, smelly, hole-filled)

Poorly set up. If you cancel, keep your email as they will lose theirs. I cancelled a week before I was to be there and they still charged me for the first night.

It was dirty, the majority of the staff was rude, there have been mise in the kitchen, there was no heating after 8 in the morning and you were obbliged to leave the room between 11 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon....WHY? I am not at all satisfied with this hostel. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This place is cheap if you go with the mixed 6-bed rooms but is NOT WORTH the money. Spend the extra Euros and stay at a place that respects basic hygiene and provides adequate resources for its patrons. This place had only two unisex toilets for a floor of over 40 people and the showers were disgustingly dirty. I had to pay for linens and the sheets had bloodstains on them and the blanket had fingernails embedded in it. I have stayed in other European hostels for a similar price (about 20 USD per person per night) and enjoyed much better service, room conditions, and public washrooms and toilets. In short, if you can afford it, DO NOT STAY HERE.
