Umlugar central com muita gente bacana. Valeu muito mais a pena do que ir para um hotel. Eu recomendo.

Good place to stay. Right near the Eiffel Tower (about a ten to fifteen minute walk) free wifi in the rooms (but the internet on the hostel computers is pretty pricey, 2 euros for 30 minutes). The shower in our room was alright, but grungy on the ceiling (a lot of mold). Pretty decent place, overall. Free breakfast.

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. It was expensive and not clean. The location was decent, but the lackluster rooms made it a horrible stay. The beds did not come with sheets but with blankets that were very dirty. There was vomit on the curtains in the room and left over beer bottles sitting around the room when we checked in. To take a shower, you go to this dirty room and have to continually press a button to get the water to come on. (One press of the button gives you about 5 seconds of water.) The toilets were dirty and most were stopped up. I would NEVER stay at this hostel again.

advantages: location, close to metro station, supermarkets, post office etc, breakfast included disadvantages: one shower and two toilets per floor (!), lock-out (why?) from 11am to 5pm, dirty, really cold(at least in december when i stayed there), no lockers or any storage possibility in the rooms in short: no hostel i could recommend

The staff is great. They help you with everything, and speak Spanish too!! But, the hostel is not good. The bathrooms stink soooo bad (sooooo bad!!!) and the showers are very dirty. Besides, you can't get to your room between 11 and 5.

Place was a block or two from the subway. Rooms were ok for the location, although they have an annoying policy that you are not allowed in the rooms from like 3 PM till 9 PM or some nonsense like that. Also check in is after 5 PM, check out is at 11 AM. In the winter the outside halls and bathroom/showers are FREEZING cold, in the summer or warmer months this wouldn't be so annoying.
