Awesome place to stay! Great stay, great location close to Redlight district and second-hand Markt, really great rooms, comfortable beds. I can't suggest it enough! Looking forward to revisiting Amsterdam and staying here!

The Staff is amazing and the hostel is very comfortable. The location is prime and I felt comfortable with my belonging being in the open because everyone was very nice and open.

OK well..where to start. When we first checked in at the Hotel, the guy from the cleaning staff was smoking in our room. The room is very very small, there is moisture on the roof of the bathroom, witch by the way was never cleaned. Free internet is a joke, there is only one half working comptuter located in the lobby. Breakfast is the peace of cold bread. Killing stairs, very dangerous. TV is not working. The worst part is that the owner looks happy to run this place. Save your stay in amsterdam, stay away from Amigo.
In a very nice location, close to main tram, metro and train station and short walk to everywhere else (e.g. Rembrandtsqaure,Red-light district, shops, and cafes). Breakfast was average. Rooms were fine and clean. Big funky common area was cool. Would recommend.

Bathrooms are ensuite but really dirty. Staff is polite but does the bare minimum. Breakfast is just toast. Brace yourself for the stairs but other than that the place is decent.

el hotel es muy pequeño, tiene unas escaleras tan empinadas que casi no puedes ni poner los pies en los peldaños y es muy dificil subir las maletas, la habitacion es muy pequeña y no muy limpia, y el baño no tiene ducha cerrada, entonces cuando te bañas mojas todo incluyendo el sanitario. Nunca me dijeron que las toallas de baño no estaban incluidas. Lo unico bueno que me paecio del hotel es que esta en un area segura y de facil acceso, pero un poco lejos de las atracciones y el joven de la recepcion es muy amable y amigable.
Brilliant stay, the staff were really cool and helpful, breakfast was included and it was fab! Will definately be staying with Amigo again!
It is my second time in these hostel and this hostel is the best in Amsterdam. The staff was very helpful and friendly, always willing to offer advice about where to go and how to get there. It was very, very clean and comfortable beds . Only a 5-10 walk to the Rembrandtsqaure and Red light district . Free internet access and wi-fi. We'd definitely stay there for third time again!

Hostel smelt like sweaty feet when we arrived. It looked as though it could do with a vacumn. Breakfast was a couple of pieces of toast with tea/coffee/oj in a room the size of a matchbox with only 6 seats which meant that some people had to wait until we had finished our breakfast before they could eat. Not a very central location unless you take the tram. At least a 30min walk to the red light district otherwise. One big plus, comfy beds so slept well.
