the ckeck out is too early, 9.30AM !! I think you can improve it. And I understand the cat 'Simba' lives there because has the mouse-catcher job, (and he does it very well, I saw him) but guys, perhaps you should try to use a vacuum cleaner to remove all his stuff once in a a day. The friendly staff and the well hostel location maybe balance the situation.

the atmosphere on the hostel was very nice and friendly. the staff was always prepared to try to answer any questions there might be, and give good advice about places to go out to, visit or nice restaurants.

I enjoyed my stay here. Everything is good about this place; location, security and its pretty clean. The only thing that isnt too good is the fun aspect. First off you cant smoke there but theres a coffee shop across the street so no big deal. There is also no real common area to just hang out and blaze with strangers which sort of sucks. I wouldnt mind staying here again + it was a good experience but i want a more social place

The people at the hostel were really nice. It is easy to find and very central. The stairs are a bit tricky but that´s just like the rest of Amsterdam.
Great people, great location, overall great place. I stayed for only four nights and the staff knew me by name before I left. Very helpful and accomodating. They even let me pay the morning after my first night since I didn't check in until around 10 or 11pm. Highly recommended.

Good location in a lane between the main shopping street and another main street. Not far to walk to the train station or Dam Square. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Simba was also friendly! The stairs in this place are nuts! Watch you don't fall like one of us!! If you're careful they are completely manageable though.

Had a good time - found it accommodating and on the whole a very good experience. I would recommend it, totally.
I stayed here for 2 nights thought it was great. The hostel is in a perfect location, right in the centre. The staff were great, really welcoming and ready with advice on the best places to go. I definitely wasn't disappointed with their recommendations. The beds were comfy, rooms clean. The shower was the only thing that let it down as kept running hot and cold, but did not affect my stay greatly. I would recommend to anyone - just watch out for the stairs - they are really steep!
