Killer mosquitos, make sure you bring insect repellent! Good location though!

I liked this hostel as it was easy to find and close to all amenties though this isn't hard in Venice. The room was not cleaned for four days, but we were just thankful to have clean towels to start with. The room was large as was the bathroom. It was noisy and hot, but the staff provided us with a good quality fan which was greatly appreciated.

A very great location. However, the staff is only mediocre at best. They were pretty nice to me when I arrived, however the next day, this group of 4 girls had arrived on a plane from Canada and the guy who let them into the building basically ignored them while he talked on his cell phone. This is a great location, but not worth the money that you pay. It is on a fairly noisy street so its hard to sleep at night so bring earplugs. The free breakfast that you get at the cafe next door, is delicious.

Where to start...Luciano emailed the week of our stay to say they were booked, eventhough we made reservations over 3 months ago. Fortunately he was able to put us up in the hostel accross the street. I wonder what would have happened if the new hostel would not have had a cancellation for us to take advantage of??? Francesca ran the new hostel and was very nice, but speaks limited English so you need to be patient and unless you have something you can point to that you need, expect some difficulty in getting it. There was no Air Conditioning in the room we stayed in and procuring a fan was a little difficult until I saw one in a room and pointed to it. The first night was hot and sticky until we got the fan for the second night. Mosquitos were always prevelant and ate my female companion alive. Our windows faced an alley where birds congregated and squawked all night. They were barely noticeable with the windows shut, but again, it was too hot to keep them shut, we had to take the lesser of two evils and keep the windows open for circulation, even with the fan. Room was ok for a home base and shared bathroom was clean considering how hold it is. Don't expect anything that has been remodeled. Bottom line is, I would recommend this hostel for those looking for something close to Realto bridge as it is literally 1 to 2 minutes walking distance. Personally, when I go back I will opt for an air conditioned alternative because of the mosquitos.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! the actualy B&B rota is in a good location, however still not nice at all! upon our arrival we were told that the b&B was full (bull shit) and then taken on a 25 minute walk to the worst possibly hostel and location. the roome was small, dirty and the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned also the sorrounding area smelt like urine and was not well kept. WHATEVER YOU DO, do not chance reserving with the B&B because you will regret it!

The outside was pretty sketchy but don't let that deter you - the interior was clean and the staff very friendly. No complaints here!

It was a realy nice, comfortable place, very well located and ideal for a short stay. We stayed in a double with bathroom. Although not very well furnished, the room was very clean, and had all that was a necessity (light, heater, plugs, etc). The staff was very nice and helpful, although not all of them speak english. We were supposed to change the room after the first night, for a twin bed room, whch was slightly cheaper. They were very nice to offer us to stay in our old room, without having to pay the difference, and thus sparing us the trouble of moving our luggage.
