I've stayed in a few over the years and Ks House in Tokyo (and the one in Kyoto) is the definitely the best by a mile. It's cleaner than most 3 to 4 star hotels and the staff are lovely.

this hostel is only opened for a year and change. The place is easy access to all of Tokyo, Cheap and clean to the point that you have to really look for dirty and still not be successful =) Over all it was a great experience!
Fantastic hostel and friendly staff. Highly recommended but a shame its quite a trip to get Shinjuku and Shibuya. Though it is close to Asakusa and Ueno.

K's House in Tokyo was fabulous--friendly, clean, with new facilities and a strong vibe of camaraderie. I would definitely recommend this hostel to first-time travelers and seasoned backpackers alike. The staff is patient, the rooms are nice and the location is excellent, right next to the subway and walking distance from Asakusa's major attractions.

The 8-bed dorm was over-crowded and there was really only space for 4 people. This was pretty dissapointing. The staff were friendly and helpful.
what a nice, comfortable place! staff extremely helpful - 'solo' female traveler perspective :) fellow travelers & roomies who yes, still lightly snore were great to meet - friendly, interested, informative!
