Very small rooms!!! Reasonably comfy beds. Very good showers, although they are on a timer system. Very friendly staff. Only a short walk to La Rambla. Directions on how to get there arent great as they stop after you get off the metro/bus but the tourist office in the train station can help point it out on the map.
Contrary to some reviews I have seen on this hostel, the water was piping hot every time and most of the fixtures and fittings have been recently upgraded to a high standard. It was quiet at night and the controllable air conditioning was great. You couldn't ask for better value for money.

Very clean and safe, I liked the lockers in the room. We would like a ladder to get to the top bunk easily. Maybe a curtain in between the showers and the sinks for more privacy

This was a great hostel but we were unhappy with the fact that it was down an unsafe alleyway. we got pickpocketed in broad daylight. only stay here if you are willing to take the risk, are safe with your money and going with a big enough group

Fantastic staff at this ideally located hostel. Barcelona Mar were extremely helpful and patient when I was robbed while in Barcelona, and hostel itself was exceptional - clean rooms with good privacy, and nice common areas populated by friendly travellers. Overall a great option if you are staying in Barcelona!!

I was so pleased by what I saw when i walked into Barcelona Mar Hostel! it has a great atmosphere and lovely staff! The location is amazing and the pub crawl that they advertise whs so much fun! 10/10 a great stay!
I found the staff extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to help. A credit to your group. Cleaning staff ket the Hostel in first class order.
