A quiet place with many older women staying there as permanent residents. Close to Back Bay, Downtown 15 min wakling time. Recommend this location highly.

It is actually a hostel per se, it's more like a place just for sleeping. A bad thing was that our bedroom stank, likely they use a very bad detergent and there was a lot of hair in the sheets. The breakfast was excellent, couldn't ask for something better. If you can't afford something better you may take this place into account, but if you do, you should stay in a hotel.

In case you're stupid like me, YWCA stands for Young Womens Christian Association. It caught me by surprise, but the Berkeley were equally accommodating for gentlemen. The hostel is basic, with hospital-like rooms, but its comfy and cheap, plus the private rooms are lockable and we had no problems with security. The location is first rate, only three blocks from the main shopping area of the Back Bay and the 'T' subway system. But the best part was the included cooked breakfast - you can't beat it!

Great location. Cleanliness could have been better. the central heating was great too. I liked the room and it was very safe. If you want a place just to spend the night, I'll recommend this hostel.

My friend and I stayed in a twin room. It was like a dormitory at my college. It's located in a safe neighborhood. The breakfast was okay. This hostel was good over all. If I will come back to Boston, I would stay there again.
