This locatin has some transitional living and many students. as a weekend traveler it was difficult to meet other single travelers. The staf was very nice although not as helpful in locating some of the local hotspots. It was a nice central Boston location in the historic south end.

I was quite impressed by the generosity of brunch service.

Very clean, great location, but some of the desk staff were not very helpful or friendly (apart from one nice lady!).

This place is fantastic. Around the corner is the trendy live theatre section. This place has an embellished Steinway grand piano which anyone can play. I have had much joy with it and listening to people who can really play. The breakfast is great as is all the service. I looked for Denny Crane and settled for a cigar and adrink on the roof- which has stunning views. I do not want to leave. However there are other paradises awaiting. The sheets are a simple clean soft luxuery. Thankyou all for a brief trip to an affordable paradise, a great library and kind gentle people. It is also safe to walk around this area you reluctant travellers.

This hostel is wonderful! Our room overlooked the city! The lobby is huge and there are a ton of books and a great library area to relax and read/peruse the computer. Close enough to downtown to easily walk around and take the subway, but far enough away to be clear of the hustle and bustle when we wanted downtime. We loved the pink columns and the private garden.

The location is really good, close to everything - all in walking distance, like as Freedom Trail, Newbury Street and Beach Bay. Perfect location to start sightseeing. The rooms are average-bed, desk, closet. BUT in this residence are also living permanent residents - people (mainly women) from the lower class. Bathrooms are poor.

It was alright a bit dingy, and my room smelled like sewer, Kinda felt more like a homeless shelter than a hostel. If my room didn't smell so bad it might have been a better stay.

Good location, in walking distance of everything. Staff seemed a little disconnected, but very helpful. Rooms were a little small, but cozy and breakfast was amazing. I would reccommend this hostel to anyone on a budget.
