room 313 had 3-4 different types of bed bugs and was extremely difficult to sleep. Noise from the street poured in the windows.

Free internet for guests, a nice kitchen, plenty of toilets/showers, opposite Post Office, a short walk to main streets and UC Berkeley.
This is my third year at the Y. This is the first time I had problems getting fresh towels. The front desk person in the evening was rude when I approached him the 2nd night that no towels had been left. He told me to get the morning cleaners - but since I left before they arrived and got back long after they had left, I expected them to read the "please service" hanger on the door.

I loved staying here, the staff were fantastic, and so helpful. They held a huge Thanksgiving meal for the residents, which was so generous and caring of them. I would stay here anytime I come to Berkeley

Surrounding community very interesting as well as the people. Loved having a small refrigerator in the room. Location was very convenient for my purposes. Also liked the free internet access in the commons room. Showers very hot and clean. Would stay here again.

There were very bad smells in all the hallways and in my room. I got a headache from the smells. It was very stuffy and no ventilation. it wasnt from cleaning supplies....it was maybe from mold and food and such. I would stay again if I knew these smells wouldnt be there.

Great facilities and overall very satisfied.
This is my third stay in Berkeley, and it has been a pleasure every time. It is clean, secure and comfortable with staff that cares about people. I thank the staff and Mr. Dixon for another great stay.
