I wasn't looking for a "fun" hostel. After staying at Secret Garden a couple of nights, where the noise and the partying kept us awake, I was happy to find a place that was mellow and quiet!

Nice big, clean rooms with private baths. It would be nice if the terrace was more lively, it has a bar but it wasn't open. Good prices but a place where people kept more to themselves.

El hostal es barato, muy bueno, muy limpio, con agua caliente, comodidades (cocina, internet) y fundamentalmente los dueños son muy buenos y amables. Fue una buena experiencia estar allí.

Good hostel, with USD 9.50 a night also a fair bargain. El Mariscal is just a bit far away, so you pretty much need to take cab all the time. The Basilica de Quito is 5 minutes walk away and absolutely astonishing. All in all very good value for money.

i luved stayin at this hostel. it had a nice relaxing and cosey feel to it. felt like home to me. the breakfest is great too and always hot water. the staff are really friendly too, enjoyed it. will book here the next time i visit in the future.

It is indeed a very good place for that amount of money. The family who runs this place is really caring about the guests. Consider my rating based upon 55 countries and travelling 4 months every two years....

The hostal is well managed and is in the top 20% in value for money terms. Though prospective customers should be aware that there are no restaurants nearby, which means a taxi at night time. The building by its design and nature is noisy. You will be disturbed by those with early morning departures
