There is a strange smell in the hallway, but not in the room. Remember to look at the BLUE streetnumbers when you find your way there!!!

I was really surprised by how great this hostel was. I had never stayed in a hostel before this one and always heard bad stories from people who often stayed in different hostels. This one was clean, secure, quiet and perfect. Located in the heart of Florence. Perfect!

Realmente hay poco bueno que decir de este Hostel.
Lo peor sin duda fue el baño, pues la cortina estaba decorada con moho por todos sitios, y al no haber ni toalla para los pies aquello se convertía en una piscina cada vez que alguien se duchara.
Con respecto a la seguridad, ni tenía llave, simplemente un inseguro pestillo con el que cerrar la puerta desde dentro. No había cerradura por lo que cualquiera podía entrar en cada momento.
El sitio esta bastante descuidado, lo cual es una pena, ya que lo que realmente merece la pena es su localización, pues tienes el Duomo de Santa María de Fiori a 5 minutos, y la Galería de la Academia (Donde se aloja el David de miguel Angel) a tan sólo unos pasos.

This was only the third hostel I've ever stayed in, but compared to my first two, the security here was VERY lax. I was not provided a key to the building nor to my room, but was simply buzzed into the building by simply ringing, took the elevator up and walked straight in through an unlocked door. There were also no lockers provided. As a female traveling alone, this just wasn't completely comfortable. Also, the desk is not staffed 24 hours. It appeared that the "night receptionist" lived at the hostel, but left to run errands, leaving the hostel unattended by staff. I left my luggage while sightseeing one day, and had to wait ten minutes outside the building ringing the buzzer before he pulled up on a bicycle and let me in (very stressful as I was running late to catch a train). Just wasn't a great experience compared to others. The location was great however, well positioned between the train station and attractions such as the Duomo and Academia.

good location and helpful staff, but the bed is a little horrible when u lie down, it turns into U shape. but for its price, it is still worth taking into consideration. It will be better if the bed quality improves.

The bathrooms and rooms were very clean, some of the staff speak english, so it helps if you speak spanish, portuguese, spanish, etc, but the staff is awesome even if you only speak english. I definitely recommend this place.

I was a little scared to keep my stuff in the room. There were no locks to lock my stuff in, and the door to my room didnt even lock. Credit cards arent taken, and when I paid with cash, there was no change!
