great hostel, great location (right in the center of mitte), walking distance to nearly everything including the main train station... though a cab is only 5 euro if you have a large bag... super clean and great staff... Also if you stay here, take the free bike tour, its amazing.. Higly recomended

The staff was very helpful, they give you a tour of the building so you're not lost unlike some places that just hand you a key and let you free. The bathrooms were fine, although the showers are a bit annoying because you have to keep turning the water back on after a minute or so. They have a free tour that comes and picks people up right from the hostel every day around 10:30 as well..

Very clean, quiet, no-smoking... :)
Kitchen's a bit small but the tea and coffee is free. :)

First, this hostels is the best you can find for SLEEP. It is the worst you can find if you're looking for PARTY! This place is extremely clean, Matt, the owner, is an incredibly good guy, very helpful and everything. But this is really a place to sleep. Security is pretty good since there's a panel with code to open the main door entrance, but there's no lockers. But there's usually no problem leaving your luggage in the room, since it is locked also. As I said, it's not a party hostel, but it is located in the center of Berlin's party district! ! minute walk from OranienburgerStrasse, which is THE place to go in Berlin, I think. So Eastener is a very nice place to go to.

It feels like at home. Cosy rooms and common areas. The location is excellent. In a city as big as Berlin, to be able to walk around visiting monuments is a huge asset. It is also very close to places where you can party, and it has a nice bistro right in front of it. Matt (the owner) is classic, definitely worth meeting him!

This hostel was quite basic and our private room was small but comfortable. I would definately recommend it as it was very friendly and the guy in charge was incredibly welcoming and helpful.
