just a really good an cheap place to stay, clean rooms, nice staff, free internet access, very close to central Kyoto area! Highly recommendable!

The staff was very helpful and they had lots of maps and guides for the area. I would recommend staying in a place closer to downtown Kyoto. It is not easy to get around that city, no matter what the official line is, so it is better to place yourself firmly in the middle of the action.
