There was a mouse in our room. His name was Harold and he ate everything. It was disgusting. The hostel warns you not to leave food in your room, but even w-o food you'll still meet him. There was no bathroom on the first floor, so if you wanted to shower you had to use the showers in the bar, which was sketch b-c it was always full of people drunk and stoned.. Oh well, if you need a place to stay, it works.

Good for smokers mainly, can still have a great time if not. Def meant for people who want to meet other people and hang out. I wanted to be by myself and just kept meeting people. Bar is open until 3am!! but it's still quite in your room.
I wish we knew WHY we weren't allowed food in the rooms. I figured it out the hard way.

Great location if you are looking for something a little away from the Red Light District, but still close to everything like parks, Van Gogh Museum, etc. Great choice, can't go wrong!
Really cool place. Make sure you check out Voguel park if the weather's good too. Just don't store anything too valuable in the fridge... people tend to get the munchies and things quickly go missing. Nice and chilled place... great for kicking back and relaxing.

This was a great hostel. They are very helpful and knew a lot about the city. They had a cool area downstairs which was great for relaxing amsterdam style and meeting people. Breakfast was pretty good too.
I did NOT like how I had to go down and fight the bar crowd to get upstairs to my room after 3PM. More stairs = unnecessary. It would have been nice it was easier to make a local phonecall too. Thanks for making my bed and for providing a fun, relaxed atmosphere!

The best hostel I ever visited
This hostel is great!! The atmosphere and vibe is so nice and being right next to Vondel Park is very convenient. Definitely stay at the Flying Pig!!
