my friend and I booked a 4 person room but it turned out we were 5. there's only a key per room to share with the others so you have to care about the things you leave in. there aren't pillows and they don't change the sheets (i think they don't even when a new guest arrives) and you have to keep the towel they provide you for the length of your stay. the luggage room isn't really safe because anyone can get in. they cleaned daily but the room smelled. my room had the toilet and that wasn't bad, you can have hot showers at any time. in any case i think that, as with any hostel, you don't have to pretend much... i had an acceptable stay. the good point is the subway stop just in front of it.

I`m travelling a lot in hostels all around the world, this was the worst I`ve ever been to !
-- One key for 5 guests in one room.Door didn`t even shut without locking it.
--4-bedroom booked, turned out to be 5 people
--dirty kitchen, fridge and stove didn`t work
--dirty showers , sink a nice stinky overflow
--manager heavy smoker, smoke all around the hostel
--ants and other little "guests" in the rooms
--sleeping -matress REALLY old
--location close to the trainstation BUT right next to sex-shops and more...including the guest......

This was probably the worst experience I've ever had. First of all: the day I arrived someone went through my backpack, that was "safely stored" in the luggage room, and stole my ipod. The staff didn't seam to be allarmed or worried by the fact. Other problems: the bathrooms are filthy, there are no pillows, the staff is very unpolite (not to say very very rude), the neiborhood is not very friendly at night, there are fleas and bugs in the rooms. The truth is that this hostel sucks! I rather stay in the train station than sleep there again! The only good quality is that its located in front of a metro station but in Paris what isn't!

Besides the first two nights we tried to slepp in the hostel have been just too loud - there was noise outside until 5 o´clock in the morning and no one cared! That was a pitty.

en plein coeur de barbes, pas une seule femme à l'horizon, et le lieu n'est pas non plus tres sécurisant pour les filles : fonctionnement tres surprenant de l'auberge (questionnaire policier demandant jusqu'au numero de carte d'identité, staff hargneux qui garde toutes les clefs en permanence, plafond perforé,etc) d'autant plus que le ménage n'a pas été fait une seule fois en trois jours!

The hostel is very near to a metro, but it's realy dirty. I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed room, I noticed that they never changed the blankets. To be honest, other hostels might be better.
One more thing, the toilet door couldn't be looked.

I have stayed in many hostels and i am not too picky but this place was just plain HORRIBLE! It was filthy, very danger location, rude staff. I highly highly advise anyone to avoid this hostel. I paid for five nights, only stayed one, they wouldnt give me a refund and i still left!

if you want to pay to sleep at street you can go this hostel..The location is really dangerous! Try to find somewhere else!..
