Für den Preis war die Unterkunft ok. - 2 Feldbetten die qiuetschten und Fenster zur Hauptstraße raus, aber ebend sehr billig! Aber man konnte ganz gut schlafen, wenn man den Tag über viel unternommen hat.

we stayed in a double private and when we walked in the room smelled like mildew and the floor literally had dirt on it. during our stay we would come back to the room and everything, especially the sheets were damp if not wet and in the morning our clothes would be like that too. we went without running water for 2 days and couldnt shower. also when they advertise that it is a private bathroom it is just a private shower the toilet is out in the hall. and the best part is that this hostel is in the redlight district of paris which is not mentioned on their site. many guys lined up on the street corners outside the hostel to pick up prostitutes and being a female whenever i walked by (even if i was wearing sweatpants and a baggy sweatshirt) guys would holler at you and grab your ass. it was not pleasant experience.

The hostel was kind of in a sketchy area, though very close to Sacre Coeur and a metro stop. Remember, you get what you pay for.

There were good and bad things about this place. Starting with the good, it was very closely located to Gare Du Nord (railroad station) which made it easy for arrivals and departures. Also, the staff were apathetically helpful. With the bad, this place was in a dirty part of the city. Right outside the hostel were groups of men drinking at pretty much all hours of the day. The place wasn't very clean but not a stig either. There wasn't a bar or anything but that can be viewed as a positive. Basically it was a cheap place that provided me with a roof over my head and hot water. If you consider yourself at all capable of roughing it this place is desirable because of its cheap prices. American girls won't want to stay here.

You should mention that private bathroom (ensuit) does not include toilet! Besides, beds were extremely worn out.

First, calling this Hostel the 'Friend's Hostel' is a paradox, because the staff is extremely unfriendly (well, not all the staff, but some guys are real ***kers). Bed are the most uncomfortable I've seen in my whole life, that's in the dormitory, in private room it was acceptable. Another funny thing is that everything seems forbidden, as it's written everywhere on the walls, 'It is forbidden to ......' . And most of all, it is located in the most unsafe place in Paris, just next to the African district: Don't go alone at night. For myself, I am a 6 feet and 220 pounds guy, and I didn'T feel safe at all, so girls, just watch your back ;P I can't really tell anything good about this place, maybe except that it's pretty clean.

Ugly small rooms, the kitchen is poor. There is no bedclothes. The heating is not working, we asked to fix it (end of January), hotel staff was annoyed: they don't have either in the reception desk. We asked 3 times and after 2 days got an electric heating desk. In the room is only one electric outlet. Metro and sales people with cheap cigarettes are close.

Service on premises was fantastic, not so much via e-mail (no reply to accommodation request). Not particularly clean, located close to Metro but not much else (Montmartre is close, though). Our room had private bathroom, which greatly helped our experience. Not all rooms have them, though.

This hostel was disgusting with rude service and in an awful area of the city. The website misrepresented it completely. We heard from more seasoned travellers that it was by far the worst they had ever seen in Europe. Do not stay here if you can avoid it.

This hostel was quite dirty. I can deal with really dirty places, too, and this I just couldn't stand. Nothing seemed clean, everything was falling apart, there wasn't enough space in the room for all the beds they tried to fit in there, so all the beds were pushed together. Spend an extra 3€ and stay somewhere else.
