This place is more of a hostel than a backpackers with singapore residents living there and is a little out of the way.We were disappointed at first but got to know some of the people staying there,and ending up enjoying our time there.the worst part was two toilets( with shower in the same cubicle ) for about twenty people staying there,and so often if you need to use the bathroom you had to wait sometimes ages till they were free from people having showers.

The place is really safe. It has restaurants around such as that nice cheap restaurant but serves really yummy sweat n sour (n spicy) pork!!! It has also a chain of gnarly restaurants along its side got seafood restaurant and a bakery and a handy 7/11 nearby!!! Situated in a residential place really clean nice and peaceful. 1 minuite walk away from the bus station (which leads to mrt) or 10 min walk to mrt if you choose to walk to Kembangan station. nice to stay during vacation though its far from the business district.. i enjoyed my stay even for a limited time.. i planned to be back soon and stay again at gas 81..Its one of the cheapest place to stay in singapore. i recommend to provide ensuite rooms for visiting couples to have more privacy.. axe from Philippines
