Great location, great layout of beds with extra privacy in large dorm situations. Computers worked intermittently which was a pain! Breakfast was good and common area was very nice. Electricity went out in dorm rooms though and electric sockets in room never worked BUT staff was helpful in finding a place to recharge batteries in their office. All in all a great experience and our favorite hostel in Barcelona.

Great location, clean, good setup... Generally thumbs up, except for the extra charges for top sheets, blankets, and lockers. Oh, and the kitchen consists only of dishes, a microwave, and a toaster, without a stove or oven.

the atmosphere at gothic point was excellent: laid back and very friendly. i plan on staying here during future trips to barcelona.
a detail about my accomodations that i really enjoyed was the curtain around my bed. it really added a feeling of privacy... it's much easier to have a sound night of rest when there aren't people looking at you.

The hostel was lively and full of interesting people, but the person at reception each time we came in (same guy) was extremely rude and short with us - which really effected our impression of the place. Also, the bathroom in our dorm was horrible. However, the sleeping arrangements were good, I felt very safe, and the accessibility to the internet and the buffet breakfast were definitely good.

vielen dank fuer die gute unterbringung und die nette "betreuung". eine sehr gute idee sind die durch einen vorhang abgeteilten betten, dadurch ist viel privatsphaere gegeben. der zentrale standort ist perfekt fuer vielseitige unternehmungen.

Excellent location in the Gothic Qtr, easy access to beach & promanade, harbour.
10 min walk to La Ramblas and 15 mins walk Plasa de Catalunya where most of the tourist busses are.
Staff at hostel excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
No keycard system but staff on desk 24/7 and they are vigilant. As an older traveller (over 50+ female ) I felt safe and secure at this hostel.
Lockers available are of a good size.
Free internet is a plus. Breakfasts are self serve and food is plentyful inc in cost.
