i've stayed in many hostel around the world and this would be one of the dirtiest. we had dirty sheets in our rooms and although we brought our own pillow cases when we got a look at the pillows we could use them. do yourself a favour spend a bit more and have a clean place to lay your head at the end of a long day.

Super friendly staff, big value for the bucks with all you need and all you want. The location of gastown could not be more convenient to all where you want to go.

Stayed here 5 nights in Sept. and the location was great, but the place was filfy and the staff isn't helpful. Then again you get what you pay for

Cleaniliness was low in the kitchen but this was created by some of the people staying at the hostel. Notices say clean up but not done. A little embarassing when you try and clean up the staff would not let you. Maybe due to getting up late. The hostel is near an area where the homeless meet and locals do say these 2 blocks not safe at night. Sad to see so many people suffering.

As the cheapest accommodation in town w can't complain too much, but don't go there jet-legged and when the jazz festival is on. Quite noisy form the street and inside. The bunk beds were creaking teribly and it could be cleaner, but - once again - for the price...
