I arrived just in time friday night for the pub crawl, and had a great time. Even though I was traveling alone, there was always someone to talk to. Everybody seemed very friendly and easy to talk to. The beds were also MUCH more comfortable than other places I've stayed at. I'd definitely recommend staying here, and I know I will if I pass through again.

Excellent service with free movies available. Bed so comfortable that I need to force myself to wake up. Surroundings however become a "red light district" after dark.

stayed @ the green tortoise for 4 nights, and fell in love with the hostel!! on the scale of 1-5 i'd rank character and fun at 5+++++. seriously, the hostel's common room feels like a club or a bar with all the things that are going on, with live music and free dinners. the staff is super friendly and fun (especially the RUSSIAN part of it!)p.s. beerpong on tuesdays rocks!!!!!!

If you are young and you want to party, check out the Green Tortoise. If you are old, and just need a quiet bed for the night, it still is a good place to go. Try to get a bed on the second floor, it is much quieter up there. Nice wooden beds, nice atmosphere, extremely helpful staff.
