a wicked hostel, in easy walking distance of union square.free meals every other night and breakfast every morning. the staff are great, we had a ball!

after travelling for 1 &1/2 years - i know a good hostel from a bad one, and i can saftly say that i thouraghly enjoyed myself there the only bad thing was that i could stay only 1 night, so i guess booking ahead would have been a good idea!! thanks, sinead mooney xx
The absolute coolest hostel I've ever stayed at. The people were very laid back and the atmosphere was just very refreshing. I will be sure to stay at the Tortoise on my future trips to SF.

I really enjoy my stay in Green Tortoise, I highly recommand the place to anyone who wants to visit San Fransisco.The hostel is very well located in North beach,the staff is very helpful and very nice.it is clean and charmy, you have free breakfast and free meals ( very good) and you can use free internet!! This is awesome!!!!!
