They were very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself was very clean and felt safe. I really liked how they did not charge for extra incidentals. For example, they gave you a brand new pair of shower shoes and clean linens.

Hostel run tours by staff were a nice intro to Boston. A bit less ranting (or at least less loud) by the manager (?) mid-morning would have been appropriate. Make sure you check out the 'Otherside Cafe' nearby.
My first stay at a HI hostel anywhere, and I'm impressed. The place is more expensive than I'd hoped, but it has all facilities: good internet, skype, laundry, free breakfast, tv room (if you want to watch tv) helpful and friendly staff, and even the location is ok - you can walk to downtown in 20 minutes, and there is a subway station one minute's walk away.

Really friendly staff. Good location.
Just drop in... This is the first Hostel I've been to, so it's now a marker. I'll have yet to see such a friendly staff, the rooms are goos and bedding comfy... I don't think you can choose any better... Great experience! No questions asked, Boston... This is the place to stay. And the coffee is good too :D

HI Boston is a very nice all round hostel. Better than most YHAs in the states.

Our room was too small! It was for at least 4 people but we were 6!The hostel was way smaller than the one in Chicago. The rest was ok, great location and great staff.
They are pretty cheap on heating - grab as many blankets as possible for the winter nights. Other than that, nice hostel.
Had a great time and a great stay! Thanks :)
